Shame

Shame is an infectious force, that seeks to influence our hearts, in how we see ourselves and how we relate–to God and the world around us. Most of us have no idea how deep its roots go or how much influence it has over our thoughts, perception and behavior. This collection walks through what shame actually is, where it first showed up in Scripture and the patterns it creates in us — from self-condemnation and perfectionism to the way we relate to our past, our mistakes and even God Himself. You’ll find teaching on how shame gets its power and practical ways to recognize when a shame attack is happening in real time.

My hope is that these resources help you see shame for what it is: a liar that was never meant to define you, so you can walk with freedom in your identity in Christ.

Whether you’re wrestling with shame from your past, struggling to show compassion toward the “old you,” or trying to break free from the shame-fueled cycles of perfectionism and self-punishment, this is a place to bring healing truth to those hidden places. You are not alone in this, and you don’t have to stay stuck under something Jesus already dealt with on the cross.
