Can You Control Your Thoughts?

When our thoughts hit us with fear, guilt or some kind of emotional disturbance, we can become overwhelmed by the emotions that these thoughts bring up within us. In the midst of this emotional disruption, we can develop an intense sense of control. We can become driven by the thought of “Get it together. Do not let these thoughts even appear.” Pressure rises up. Fear increases.

In our sense of survival, we believe that we can prevent any thought from even arriving into our thinking. This can lead us into constant exhaustion and pressure regarding our thought life.

So allow me today to entertain the question, “Can you control your thoughts?” and provide some insights for your healing journey when it comes to your thinking.
