In this midst of pain and struggle, the mental and emotional pain can feel so overwhelming that some can turn to self-harm as a way to cope. For those that struggle with this behavior, it can seem like one of the only ways to express the pain or gain a sense of sanity within the overwhelm. Many who struggle with self-harm patterns often live in the dark with it. But what I want to do is shine a light of compassionate grace on this subject, so that those who are battling can find grace, love and healing for their journey. My goal is to provide some perspective on this subject, peel back the spiritual and emotional layers involved, get to what drives self-harm and talk about what healing steps can look like. I pray that my words will help you recover connection to compassion, find simple steps forward so that you can experience healing nurture.
