In the early days of my mental health journey, I realized that I woke up in the morning with two unhealthy patterns that I would follow. The first one is that I would insessantly check how I was feeling first thing when I awoke. Secondly, I would let how I was feeling dictate my actions for the day. So I would hit the snooze bar, sit there and introspect, ruminate, spin or fall into despair. It took me a little while to realize that these patterns were unhealthy for my journey. But then I learned the power of decision, the ability to choose where I am going to focus my attention and take a step towards that focus. Today, I want to encourage you with the power of decision and how it can change your life and enhance your mental health.
