In this live ROCD Q&A, I take you into the battleground of relationship OCD and anxiety, especially when it comes to relationship intimacy and commitment. I address intrusive thoughts, especially for sensitive ROCD strugglers who deeply care about God’s will, purity and honoring biblical truth, but are struggling with distortions on how they relate to those areas. I talk through how fear of commitment, distorted views of intimacy and how perfectionism can hijack your emotions and make you feel like God is constantly telling you to break up, back away, or endlessly “check” if you’re with the right person.
I address themes like relationship anxiety, sexual orientation OCD, struggles with lust and purity battles. ROCD can impact someone in every stage, including dating, engagement, and marriage. So its important we gain equipping on how to deal with intrusive thoughts that want to rob us of taking fruitful steps forward.
Christians often confuse obedience with being micromanaged by God instead of walking in the liberty the gospel actually brings. My goal is to ground you in grace, self-compassion, and a journey mindset, helping you develop emotional maturity in how you relate to your thoughts, your partner, and to God as a loving Father. If you’re tired of spinning, catastrophizing your future, or feeling tormented by your own mind while trying to be “spiritual,” this broadcast is for you. Tune in, let these truths wash over your heart, and if it blesses you, be sure to like, subscribe, and check out my ROCD resources, The OCD Healing Journey, and The Myth of the Perfect One so you can keep walking out your healing and freedom step by step.
