🔴 Experiencing Gratitude and Joy | Charismatic Chaos | Spiritual Abuse

We begin with a Bible study in Philippians 1:3–5, sharing how gratitude is a powerful spiritual and emotional calibrator in our lives. I talk about how thanksgiving helped Paul in the midst of hardship, how gratitude gently redirects us out of rumination and negativity, and how appreciation for others can fuel our prayer life and open the door for genuine joy.

From there, I transitioned into a heavier but necessary conversation about spiritual abuse and dysfunction in parts of the charismatic church world. I address performance-driven, image-focused ministry culture, the celebrity treatment of leaders, the lack of character seasoning, and how “love,” “grace,” and “spiritual warfare” language are often misused to avoid accountability and protect platforms. I also talk about narcissism, codependency, misuse of “the Lord told me,” and how unhealthy systems can wound believers while silencing honest concerns.

My heart in this episode is to hold firmly into what the love and grace of God really are, which invite us all into a healing and freedom journey, while also becoming sober and wise about unhealthy church patterns. This is especially for those of you who struggle with your mental and emotional health, have experienced spiritual abuse and manipulation, or are simply hungry for practical, heart-level teaching that helps you live as a fruitful and healthy overcomer in your everyday life and relationships.
